of Mikael Renberg's family, friends, and fans. It contains current news, a
biography, statistics, career highlights, photos, articles by Bill Meltzer, links
and a discussion list. The site is updated on a regular basis during hockey
season.

Mikael (Rennie, Micke) Renberg was born in northern Sweden in the small town of
Piteå, on 5 May 1972. His dad, Bo, worked hard running a gas station while raising
Mikael and two daughters, Jessica and Ingela. Even though Bo was a former soccer
player, he didn't object when his son opted for hockey. Mikael began his hockey
career with Piteå HC. He was then drafted and signed for Luleå HF, a hockey club
in the highest division of the SHL (Swedish Hockey League.) Throughout his NHL
career, Mikael has played for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Tampa Bay Lightning,
Phoenix Coyotes and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
